Note to self, don’t base wine columns around the British seasons

I’ve just had to chuckle to myself as I’ve posted this week’s wine column – all about heralding Spring and lovely wines to Millie the miniature schnauzerdrink with lamb.

When in fact it’s bloomin freezing outside, there’s been snow falling in Liverpool for two days and my fingers are almost too cold to open a bottle of wine. Ah – but they’re never, ever, that cold.

But at least there’s fun to be had – as Millie the miniature schnauzer testifies.
