What you need to know when you book an event via this website

Hi there,

Thanks for getting this far. You must be interested in a wine event if you’ve clicked on this link!

Some small points for you:

Travel:
Jane Clare lives in Crosby near Liverpool and will travel to host an event within a 40-mile radius (Merseyside, Sefton, most of Lancashire, Cheshire, even some of north Wales and Greater Manchester).  If you’re any further afield, then Jane may have an additional fee of 0.45p a mile. Just drop Jane an email and you can talk it through.

Using the online event booking form and payment:
It’s very simple to book an event. Choose the one you want and you’ll see the booking form at the end of the details.

Step 1: – Choose the number of additional people. And so if you want to book for eight people, you’d select the additional number 7 –  as the tech sees you as Person Number One.

You can also add any extras at this stage if they are available.

Step 2: – Then click through to  the calendar view. Here you will see the available dates. All the private wine events are bookable in the evenings. An afternoon option is available on Saturday and Sundays. Drop us a line if you need to be flexi with another option.

Step 3: – Once you’ve chosen your date, click through and a form will appear for your personal details. If we have supplied you with a discount voucher (for example, you’re holding a charity event) then you would apply it here.

Step 4: – Once you’ve filled in your personal details, click Confirm. Then the checkout page will appear. You’ll see several payment options. Choose the one that works best for you. Please note, some of them take longer than others for the funds to clear.

Step 5: –  Jane Clare of One Foot in the Grapes will be in touch to plan the finer details of your event.  Bringing wine love to your life!

Temporary event notice (TEN)
All of our events must be covered by an alcohol licence. This means that if one is booked in an unlicensed venue (such as a church hall, or someone’s private home) then we must apply for a temporary licence.

This is a simple process which involves applying to the local council.  One Foot in the Grapes has done this several times. We’ll take care of it!

The cost of the TEN (£21) is included in our booking fees. We will need the details of your proposed unlicensed venue, or private address, to submit the forms.

If we apply and pay for the TEN, and you cancel the event, we will retain the £21 fee in any returned fees due to you.
