Study WSET Level 2 Award in Wines in Lancashire: Three-day course
This course is designed for wine enthusiasts or professionals wishing to learn about, and taste, a wide range of wines.
There are no entry requirements. You don’t need to study the Level 1 Award in Wines to study the Level 2 course.

Overview
In Level 2 you’ll study eight modules, including 30 grape varieties and their styles around the world.
You’ll taste a minimum of 40 samples of wine during the three-day course.
You’ll receive a study pack, which includes the book Wines: Looking Behind the Label, a work book and the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT).
The total study time is 28 hours, which includes the coursework and an additional 11 hours’ private study.
The paper exam is multiple-choice, with 50 questions to be completed in an hour on the last day of the course.

How long is the course and where is it
This course is studied on three consecutive Mondays at the Crow Wood Hotel in Burnley, Lancashire – details here.
Lunch is included, with coffee and snacks throughout the day.
We will begin at 9.15am each day and will finish at 6pm at the latest. There will be breaks and an hour for lunch (served by the hotel).

How much does it cost?
The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines classroom course via One Foot in the Grapes is £394.
That includes the study pack, wine and food samples, and the examination fee. It does not include exam resit fees. The fee allows for a contribution to three lunches and refreshments.
At checkout, there are options to pay over three instalments.
How do you pass?
There is an an hour’s closed-book exam of 50 multiple-choice questions on the final afternoon of the course. To pass, you must achieve 55% or more.
The results are available about 30 days after the course.
Ofqual regulates this qualification.
