This one-day course in a Liverpool venue begins with introductions at 9.15am — Learn how wine is made; and how the characteristics of eight grape varieties vary across the world. — You’ll taste seven wines the WSET way, seeking out aromas, characteristics and structure. — You’ll compare those wines with food to see how the wines change. — The multiple-choice paper exam is at 4.30pm in the venue — The qualification can be gained by theory alone, and so can be studied without tasting wine.
Virtual by Zoom, one night over four weeks
Discover the basics about wine in the comfort of your own home, from anywhere in the UK. Join this virtual course in real time via Zoom led by Jane Clare of One Foot in the Grapes. You’ll learn how to taste and appreciate wine, with some fun hands-on “experiments”. — You’ll buy your wine — We’ll taste wines together on our video calls. — There’s a food and wine pairing session — The course is a 2.5 hour session once a week over four weeks. — Online exam.
